In this week’s episode of Cult Conversations: The Influence Continuum, “The Hacking of the American Mind: The Science Behind the Corporate Takeover of Our Bodies and Brains,” I spoke with pediatrician Robert H. Lustig, MD, about RFK, anti-vaxing, the poison fructose, which is toxic to our mitochondria. Diabetes, obesity, and so many other major health conditions are the result of the Big Food and Sugar lobby. So many big corporations are pushing us to buy and use products that are toxic and addictive. This interview was so very important for our well-being. In next week’s episode, “In the Shadow of Enlightenment: A Girl’s Journey Through the Osho Rajneesh Cult,” I will speak with Sarito Carroll, whose book of the same title describes her childhood in the Rajneesh cult and her eventual path to freedom away from the group. We discuss her journey and how disappointed we both were about the Netflix documentary Wild, Wild Country. Sarito and others raised in the Osho cult participated in a documentary, Children of the Cult, but we are both frustrated that this doc has not yet been picked up on any streaming platform. We also discuss how the lessons she learned inform how she views our world today.
Yesterday, I joined host Christian scholar Chad Venters, director of the Westar Institute, on his Bible Search & Rescue podcast to discuss cults and how people become influenced by mind control. I am always heartened when Christians wish to educate other Christians about authoritarian cults. It was a lively and informative talk; I hope you’ll find it as fascinating as I did! I was quoted in a recent article in the Huffington Post blog titled “How To Deal With Your MAGA Relatives Without Ruining Relationships, According To Cult Experts.” I’ve heard from so many people who find themselves at odds with their relatives due to political differences; I hope that we can reach out and find common ground to narrow the divide. I stand by my comments on how to interact effectively.
One of the ways to help depolarize our society is by keeping ourselves informed and ensuring that the media we consume is balanced. That’s why I recommend Ground News, an invaluable resource that helps you see which news stories are covered by what media outlets - and how they’re framed. It contains links to how a story is covered by different media across the political spectrum. It’s a powerful tool to help you ensure your freedom of mind and that you don’t get stuck in a media bubble.

The future of Public Health depends on protection against unrestrained corporate power. A sicker humanity means increased pain and suffering at large. In the past, we have identified numerous exposures that have made us sick, many of which are addictive, and created shield laws to protect the corporations that peddle them. We also know it’s our most toxic addictions that are killing the planet and its people currently, whether due to climate crisis or ingesting harmful chemical substances.

I’ll check it out, thank you. I was thinking, how can I encourage more educated individuals with ample time to teach political, criminal justice, law, and constitution etc… to the people in America who truly don’t understand how it works and what’s currently going on? Most people don’t know what a fusion center is. Or even basic history about Kennedy that is so important to know right now. I know a lot of rubes and out of touch farmers in Midwest that have so much heart but no education. ( I’m from Midwest, ex rube lol no disrespect just sincerity) but we need to empower as many as we can… brainstorm ideas?
