This morning UK Times Radio interviewed me about Trump's new fragrance line, Fight, Fight, Fight. I talked about the power of our sense of smell and how it could be yet another way people will get indoctrinated into an “us.vs. them” cultish mentality. We will share the link when we receive it.
Much of my work has been exploring the role of hypnosis in controlling individuals. Like any powerful tool, it can be used for harm or good. In a post we are publishing today, I explore the benefits and risks of clinical hypnosis.

This weekend, I joined host Anthony Davis. Together, we analyzed the current transition of power and the emotional cost to those paying attention to Trump’s disturbing cabinet picks. We also reviewed the psychological operation Trump’s team ran that swung the election in favor of MAGA Republicans and the oligarchy of the super-rich.
Clinical hypnosis has remarkable potential to aid mind-body healing. It is widely used ethically in conjunction with psychological therapy to manage anxiety, alleviate pain, and even speed recovery processes. However, as with any powerful tool, its potential for harm is real. This underscores an important principle in health care: Anything with the power to heal has the power to harm.
How can you tell if that group your family member has joined is safe? Is your relationship hitting a “rough patch,” or is there actual cause for concern? With this anonymous, easy-to-use diagnostic tool, you can answer simple questions and determine if any group is beneficial or destructive, ethical or unethical, healthy or unhealthy.
Australian Maria Esguerra tells us that it’s still difficult to speak about her personal experiences as a second-generation survivor of The Children of God cult. “There was a little bit of shame around being a survivor and someone who grew or who’s been in a cultic group,” she said.
