Next week, on Tuesday, November 3rd, election day will be here in the United States. Now, more than ever, it is vital that we vote and do what we can to enable others to vote. Don’t ever let anyone tell you your vote doesn’t matter! It DOES!
The people surrounding Trump and enabling his increasingly unhinged behavior are working harder than ever to make sure they stay in power. Trump’s supporters are normalizing racism, Christian Nationalism, and anti-intellectualism, and stripping away the rights of women, gay people, trans people, indigenous people, immigrants, and other traditionally disenfranchised groups. We support human rights, the rule of law, the separation of church and state, and we are anti-greed and corruption. We also know Russia and China are dictatorships!
Freedom of Mind means Freedom of Choice! Vote and make your voice heard!

As regular readers of my newsletter will know, I recently spoke on the Necessary Conversation podcast, hosted by brother and sister Chad Kultgen and Haley Popp with their parents, Mary Lou and Bob Kultgen. In the episode, “Can a Cult Expert Change Mary Lou’s Mind?,” which now has over 216k views, I found Mary Lou to be a gentle, lovely woman as we discussed issues involving Trump.

I was also honored to have my book cited as a positive influence in a recent article in People Magazine, “Why Would Anyone Join a Cult? Dark Messiah Author Breaks It Down,” Sara Z. Carson, author of the novel Dark Messiah, talks about how my book, Combating Cult Mind Control, helped her understand how an individual’s circumstances - what they’re going through and what issues they’re facing - are what make a person susceptible to a cult leader who offers all the answers to life’s problems.
